cdunde - 05 Apr 2018 | [ Top ] |
There are two parts to this button. The left will bring down the menu, where you will be able to select what grid-scale you want to work in. The right part will enable/disable the grid, so you can work freely if needed. You can also use keys to increase or decrease the grid. See 'Keys' for these. |
Zoom settings |
cdunde - 05 Apr 2018 | [ Top ] |
This button also has two parts. The left will bring down the menu, where you can select a zoom-factor. The right part will, when no objects are selected, fit the entire model into view. When a object is selected, you can click one time to zoom to selection, and click again to fit the entire model into view. You can also use keys to zoom in or out. See 'Keys' for these. |
3D windows |
cdunde - 05 Apr 2018 | [ Top ] |
Full 3D view will create a new floating 3D-window, which you can place anywhere on your desktop and resize as you wish. Additional 3D windows can be opened if the 'Allow multiple 3D windows' option is selected in the Configuration, General, 3D view, Additional settings section. |
Linear Drag Handles |
cdunde - 05 Apr 2018 | [ Top ] |
This button is always active in one way or another. If deactivated (off, default) your in Vertex mode, if activated (on) your in Face mode. It performs various ways in each mode in the Model Editor, depending on what is selected, and has no effect for the Skin-view. When more then one item is selected in any view it will display a Linear Drag Handle, a circle around those selected objects, for editing purposes. This circle and its attached handles let you apply linear movement to the objects. Linear movement means any transformation such as group movement, rotation, enlarging/shrinking and distortion/shearing. When you use the rotate, enlarge, shrink, and symmetry buttons of the Movement Tool Palette, you actually apply a linear movement on the selected objects. Some Toolbar functions require you to be in the Face mode to operate such as Reverse face direction, Subdivide faces, Face Cut tool and the Keep Dupe Vertexes buttons. In the main editor when any faces have been selected, clicking on the Vertex/Face modes button will activate its handles for those faces only, turning off the individual vertex handles and the Linear Handle for any selected group of them. Clicking the button off will reactive the handles back to the selected vertex group and turn all of the individual vertex handles back on. Unselected vertex handles can still be dragged for editing without disturbing the linear group selection or they can be picked using the RMB menu, when your cursor is over a vertex handle, to add or remove from the selected linear group of vertex handles. At any time if you wish to cancel a move you are performing, simply hold down your LMB and RMB together and continue to do a very slight drag, then let go of both buttons together. These Linear Drag Handles are the main source of larger group productive editing movements and manipulative functions. Holding the mouse-cursor steady for a moment on one of the many small handles in the circle, will bring up a little 'flyover' help. |
Lock Views |
cdunde - 05 Apr 2018 | [ Top ] |
This will cause all of the 2D views to move and zoom together. When this is in the unlocked mode, the 2d views can then be moved and zoomed on individually. If the lock is reset then the 2D views will realign themselves. |
